Story of From the hoop is inspired by Earl Manigault's life. Earl Manigault was one of the greatest basketball player of his generation. Mentored by Holcombe Rucker through his youth he became the star of his high school team. As an universitary champion, he seemed destined to shine in NBA. But before the transition, he fell into drugs and lead his life far away from the basket. After dark years made of jail, drugs and friend's death, he gave up this world to return in the right way to Harlem. He started the "Walk Away From Drugs" tournament for kids in Harlem. He died in 1998 from a heart failure. From the Hoop

Imagi has unveiled an eleven second teaser for their upcoming CG-animated "Gatchaman" movie, which they say will hit theaters in 2010.

Set in a future world grappling with environmental and technological issues, the story focuses on five reluctant heroes whose remarkable genetic code makes them Earth's only hope of defeating extra-terrestrial invaders. Imagi promises that "Gatchaman" will be a big, effects-rich movie with some of the most ambitious action sequences ever seen in animation.

"Gatchaman" was created by Japan's Tatsunoko Production in the early 1970s as a television series called "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman." Aired in the US as "Battle of the Planets" and "G-Force," it soon became one of the top syndicated shows.
