Two weeks ago was the first ipod battle in the mini bar Amsterdam , organized by Bon Esprit team and with the participation of Make My Films.
I invited Murray to be on the Audiopleasures team and he was very kind not to show up , i went ahead anyways but got defeated on the 2nd round by the hip hopers G&G that ended up winning the jar.

Vincent Herbelet from Make my Films made a super cool video of the evening.

National Geographic's International Photography Contest 2009

National Geographic's International Photography Contest attracts thousands of entries from photographers of all skill levels around the world every year. While this year's entry deadline has passed, there is still time to view and vote for your favorites in the Viewer's Choice competition. National Geographic was kind enough to let me choose a few of their entries from 2009 for display here on The Big Picture. Collected below are 25 images from the three categories of People, Places and Nature. Captions were written by the individual photographers. (25 photos total)

A few weeks ago during Halloween evening i was invited to the premiere of Bete Noire , a group of expats living in Amsterdam and surroundings , directed by the very entertaining Didier Lunch. Bete Noire is a short about jealousy and vengeance , i must say that i was quite surprised with the quality and editing , the soundtrack was also very good.

More than the movie itself is very nice to see a group of people from different cultures in a foreign country working on a common and creative idea , a good example indeed.

Brand new clip for Modular's latest electronic-pop prodigies, Manchester's Delphic. Expect their album, Acolyte, to come out in January 2010.

I make immersive collaged drawings that draw on the language of maps. The impetus for this body of work was my longing to connect to my father, a truck driver who drove eighteen-wheelers across the country hauling industrial machinery. He died over ten years ago. Based on road maps of the U.S., routes my father often traveled, and an invented conglomeration, mutation, and fragmentation of those passageways, my works on paper help me piece together the past and make up the parts I cannot know.
