Probably escapes a bit the label garage punk guidelines but nevertheless a massive LP that goes from blasting sonic fuzzed out wall of sound to shoegaze noise delights and delicious psychedelic pop 70s reminiscent, exquisite and almost theatrical rich scenarios that haven't experience since Deus "Worst Case Scenario", a demonstration of pure class and most definitely the band to watch.

To face the tsunami of garage rock bands that come from that side of the ocean Europe has something on her sleeves, Acid Baby Jesus from Athens, Greece. Unfortunately due the terrible bad weather that was poring over Amsterdam and the excess of beverage i didn't dare to get on the bike and cross the city to see this boys show, what i heard when i got there was just that it better than we know already, Acid Baby Jesus S/T LP will be out on Slovenly 11 October and by their standards are only bangers.

Acid Baby Jesus are now rolling on a extensive US tour and if they play in your neighborhood dont miss it !!!!

J.C. Satan - Sick of Love 2010

I can't remember a year that i've said so many times in just a few weeks this is probably one of the best records you will be lucky to listen this year. J.C. Satan's debut is filled with garage bangers, early progressive rock mixed with gorgeous melodies and surf sleazy beats, dark lo-fi vibes and bit's of glam fuzz drowned in dreamy echoes of psych pleasures in the midst of catchy guitars and cracking sonic bass lines, just stunning !!!!!! J.C Satan are three guys from Bordeaux and two gals from Turin that collided in Bordeaux and the record "Sick of Love" was born. This release marks the Reno/ Amsterdam record label Slovenly 100th release and for sure will please the lo-fi garage fans as much as the noisy shoegazers guitars addicts.

Los Vigilantes - Ven Vamos

I was thinking on the other day that South American garage bands make it sound hotter, the first time i saw this video i just felt like drinking a shot of Tequila and make our little home ritual and scream bang bang bang Tequila !!!!

"Ven Vamos" is the music video taken from the debut self-titled lp on Slovenly from this super cool gang from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Los Vigilantes make the perfect garage-punk soundz with the distinctive South American 60's taste and the album is a real wonder from beginning to end where is difficult to say witch one is the best cause they are all so good, real bangers for a super hot summer with a Caribbean rock n roll delinquent flavor, leave the beer tap running and lets go party with another slovenly super release.
