"It was expected that arbouse Recordings label, party over ten years the discovery through the world of music news, come to look to Erik Satie this precursor. As such, Cyril Caucat (label founder) approached Ornella Volta Chair of Archives Erik Satie (Paris). 'Les nouveaux jeunes' from all corners of the world (Chicago, New York Stockholm Berlin, London, Paris ...) will be heard through their music of Erik Satie news .. . Without forget the other side of modernity: its humor seriously. It was actually 'Esoterik' provided that 'Satierik'. Just to play with Satie recordings arbutus appealed to Illegal, a organization dark and full of mockery in the words of a journalist.

Thrill Jockey Benefit for the Recovery in Japan

"Benefit for the Recovery in Japan is a compilation album dedicated to the victims and survivors, their families, and the aid workers courageously struggling to deal with the aftermath of the earthquake, resulting tsunami, and nuclear emergency that occurred on March 11th, 2011 in Japan. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this compilation will go directly towards the recovery and relief effort. The album features the contributions of sixty-four artists from around the world and clocks in at nearly five hours of music.

As the crisis continues to unfold and the full scope of the disaster becomes even more apparent, our sisters and brothers in Japan face many challenges: both the immediate needs—provisions for food, water, shelter, and healthcare—as well as the long term recovery and rebuilding efforts in the impacted communities. The ripple effects of the earthquake and resulting tsunami will be felt for years to come. Benefit for the Recovery in Japan was created with the goal of providing immediate and tangible aid in the relief, recovery, and rebuilding that will take place over the coming days, months, and years.

The people of Japan need your help now, and your purchase of this music is one way to connect with and provide assistance to the people in Japan working to recover from this disaster. 100% of the proceeds from your purchase of this release will go to the Japanese emergency response organization Civic Force—thereby helping support real work happening on the ground by Japanese-based relief workers.

Benefit for the Recovery in Japan is curated by Antiopic's David Daniell and James Elliott, with invaluable assistance from Regina Greene (Front Porch Productions), Greg Davis, and Bettina Richards (Thrill Jockey). Greg Davis mastered the compilation and Sadek Bazaraa designed the cover art. This release is made possible by the generosity of Thrill Jockey and all of the artists involved."

Sun Kil Moon aka ♥ Mark Kozelek ♥ the ex frontman from the mythical slowcore heroes Red House Painters as a new album, i loved the early Red House Painters albums, i literally drowned in Mark's imaginary figure and learned a great deal about myself with is utterly honest and detailed explanations of his emotional rollercoaster.
They split up and Mark Kozelek founded Caldo Verde records and reinvented his carrier under the moniker Sun Kil Moon which to be honest i was a never big fan, now this forth Lp is so so so good, i am extremely happy with this record because its a reminder of the early ♥ Red House Painters ♥ but also a better more mature and evolved version, its a melancholic darkly poetic river bed in which i will inevitably slowly drown again. I would say that Mark Kozelek replaced the father figure i never had on those early Red House Painter days ... thank you ...

I was a bit disappointed with myself because i could never really appreciate any of the previous Sun Kil Moon albums, "Admiral Fell Promises" is a wonderful back to back album, not a single song i don't like, and that voice ... oohhhh ... like honey dripping on my dreams

By the end of the year likely to be on my top 3 albuns of these year, Highly Recommended 10/10 Listen

The Silent Ballet: Volume 7 - Winter 2008

Volume VII gathers fifteen artists from around the world to bring you what we believe is our most exciting compilation yet. Unlike previous efforts, our winter compilation focuses almost entirely on solo projects and musical duos, primarily pulling from the digital realm of experimentation. Free from compromise, these artists are capable of embracing every last whim, and this spontaneity and energy is readily on display. We hope our readers enjoythese musicians as much as we do.

We graciously thank all artists and labels who made this compilation possible. Hopefully all who find this venture worthwhile will look into supporting these artists in whichever way possible. It is our support which enables them to continue creating music that they, and we, love.
