Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam and Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven are paying tribute to this exceptional genre with a programme which includes music from Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Simeon ten Holt, Michael Nyman, Gavin Bryars, the Mandara Mountains in Cameroon and Machinefabriek.
