Dear Friends and readers, ive been so busy in the last weeks that can't seen to find the time to keep blogging, also i'm not so motivated with the blog its been 3 years and a new challenge is needed, can't really talk about it at the moment but after the summer holidays i will have some news for sure, Audiopleasures will never end but probably will work in a different system.

Next friday im going for two weeks of well deserved holidays to Portugal ... Ill be around Lisbon and Azeitão with some friends i've invited ...

Few month ago i send some pictures to the Subbacultcha indie Dutch zine and good music promoters project " After Midnight " , some of the pictures were selected on the first draft and later printed on a booklet, i was invited to the launch of the booklet in Amsterdam but the guys @ Subbacultcha decided to make something so cool that it wasn't cool at all ... half of the booklet was printed so dark that you couldn't see the pictures ... serious guys ... all you needed to do was to print the pictures because after all this was about pictures and not your sense of hype and fashion. my pictures on "After Midnight"



The wonderful friend Agnese Roda, researcher in musicology and a wine lover has her blog running and if you ask me is a kick ass idea ... Agnesa is interviewing expats in Amsterdam and surrounding with music and wine as the common denominator ... i was the first guest and we had a wonderful afternoon talking about the things we love and making some plans for the upcoming months ... cause we also Dj together ... the Riot Soundsystem ...

Last weekend was one of the events that raised more expecations "Sail 2010",
i actually planed my holidays between Sail and the Cello Biennale.

"SAIL Amsterdam is the largest event in the Netherlands which is free to the public. In 2005 the event drew 1.8 million visitors, who gave SAIL Amsterdam 2005 high marks. SAIL Amsterdam 2010 will take place from Thursday 19 August to Monday 23 August 2010 on and around the IJ river.

SAIL's main attraction will be the impressive fleet of Tall Ships, sailing heritage craft, modern ships, naval ships and replicas. In addition to this, every day there will be a varying programme of all kinds of cultural and sports activities. The theme of SAIL 2010 is ‘a nautical encounter between the past, present and future’.

The idea behind SAIL Amsterdam originated during preparations for the celebration of Amsterdam's 700 years of existence in 1975."

We were very luck and caught a ride because Eve decided to make a break, anyway for 10 eur pp we got a kick ass view of the boats ...

The Anomalys, Club Tarantula Storing Haarlem

Last Saturday was the first edition of Club Tarantula in the Storing Haarlem , hats of to the organizers, an excellent selection of music and a great ambient almost like a small flavor of the epic parties in the Phoenix 13.
Everything was good, as expected The Anomalys were freaking awesome, the dj's were Joost from ET Explore Me and Dj Ted, both superb and i dance my socks of.
Haarlem needs more nights like these guys, next one please :)






Last time i saw the Amsterdammers The Anomalys was in the Sleazefest and it was late and i was pissed, i think it was late because when they finished as far as i can remember was daylight, all i remember is people jumping all over the place, the drummer having a violent monologue with the drums, the guitar making sonic riffs and the lead singer climbing up the walls and playing harmonica, stuning to say the least.

This time it was early i had fever and only two beers before the concert started, the scenario was repeated but this time i could flavor almost every drop of sweet that was flying from the stage, outstanding Memme sets the pace and bangs on that drums with speed light frenzin, guitarist Potlood`is all over the place like a flying acrobat and Bone gives the coordinates. I guess the point is taken... go see them live its a frocking blast

The Anomalys "self-titled" debut album is now out on Slovenly Recordings and is good as they are on stage, pure Rock N Roll, Garage-Punk and it was a long time since i heard something as good and solid on stage and on record.

Is case to say that talent is not measured by age, Last year my radar missed the debut album from Bombay Bicycle Club, i knew the name but for some weird never paid much attention to this band, the 2009 debut album "I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose" is a wonderful indie album from a club of Londoners average 16 years.
Now one year later they take a radical new direction and release a album of acoustic reliques "Flaws" featuring covers of songs by John Martyn and Joanna Newsom.

Recorded while touring over the past year and a half, a few early tracks were produced by Neill MacColl (guitarist Jamie's Dad), the rest was recorded and produced in Jack Steadman's bedroom and the result is stunningly beautiful.

Sun Kil Moon aka ♥ Mark Kozelek ♥ the ex frontman from the mythical slowcore heroes Red House Painters as a new album, i loved the early Red House Painters albums, i literally drowned in Mark's imaginary figure and learned a great deal about myself with is utterly honest and detailed explanations of his emotional rollercoaster.
They split up and Mark Kozelek founded Caldo Verde records and reinvented his carrier under the moniker Sun Kil Moon which to be honest i was a never big fan, now this forth Lp is so so so good, i am extremely happy with this record because its a reminder of the early ♥ Red House Painters ♥ but also a better more mature and evolved version, its a melancholic darkly poetic river bed in which i will inevitably slowly drown again. I would say that Mark Kozelek replaced the father figure i never had on those early Red House Painter days ... thank you ...

I was a bit disappointed with myself because i could never really appreciate any of the previous Sun Kil Moon albums, "Admiral Fell Promises" is a wonderful back to back album, not a single song i don't like, and that voice ... oohhhh ... like honey dripping on my dreams

By the end of the year likely to be on my top 3 albuns of these year, Highly Recommended 10/10 Listen
