Sleaze, Sleaze, Sleazefest was epicly insane, awesome music, great location and bad ass people all over the place
This year we were lucky with the weather, it was a gorgeous sunshiny day and we decided to for a 45 minutes walk on the beach from Wijk aan Zee to timboektoe were sleazefest took place.
Before turning on our sleazemotors, Docteur Muller, Miss De Rooy and i stopped in the lounge beach club Aloha for a couple of mojitos.
The first band that i really liked were the Amsterdam/Groningen duo Sixtyniners, Rock n Roll, Country, Punk and a great stage presence.
Miss Claudia Hek on drums, Sir Michiel Hoving on guitar and a guest double bass were simply irresistible and the first taste of real sleaziness
Sleaze devils ... Hell Yeah
The best band of the night wasn't even on the line up , these guys alone could case a riot all by themselves.
The Anomalys are a awesomeness trio from Amsterdam, epic shit Punk, Garage and they were all over the place, starting with the drummer that was breaking the shit out of the drums, put them in your agenda and go watch them live.
Straight into my favorite Dutch bands.
More sleazefest please.

Sleazefest 26 June
Beach Pavilion Timboektoe
Wijk Ann Zee North Pier, North Holland
One of my favorite events in the festival calendar, it all started in 2000 in a farm near Amsterdam when a bunch of friends decided to invite some bands to jam, Sleazefest took roots and become an established event around Amsterdam.
Sleazefest means dirty, noisy, vulgar, cheap but in reality is a kick ass party where Rock N Roll, Punk Rock and Garage rules and its a great place to listen and discover great new bands bands. Sleazefest is organized by the one and only zZz from Amsterdam

Emeralds the Cosmic Cleveland drone/synth trio return with a new full-length on Editions Mego. "Does It Look Like I’m Here?" guitar synthesizers and analog synthesizers makes you come back to Blade Runner and think about christian fennesz flourished guitar and Gavin Russom psychedelic drones.

"Les Aventures Extrodinaire d'Adele Blanc-Sec" adaptacion to cinema by Luc Besson.
“The adventures, set in Paris in the years before and after World War I, revolve around the protagonist Adèle Blanc-Sec. A cynical heroine, she is initially a novelist of popular fiction, who turns to investigative journalism as her research and subsequent adventures reveal further details of the mystical world of crime. Themes of the occult, corruption, official incompetence, and the dangers of patriotism suffuse the series.”

Delicious animation by Margherita Premuroso, an adorabel dreamer kid making a paper plane.

Incredible work from French photographer Ruben Brulat, 21 and bought his camera only two years ago. "Immaculate" is a self-portrait series.
"When i started taking photographs of myself, it became obvious that it was easier to understand the malaise i had in these places, by getting naked i was feeling in total symbiosis. The more i was taking shots, the more i was understanding. Because, creating a fiction, may bring you closer to reality."
Awesome animated music video, Blockhead's 'The Music Scene'.

E.T. Explore Me, Exchange Radical Moments, Tim Burton, Breakbot, Arctic Surf Film, MGMT, Yang Yi, Memory Tapes, The Birth of Big Air, History of Art
Probably my favorite band on this moment, E.T. Explore Me are a Dutch noisy trio from Haarlem in the North Holland, they make the perfect combination of garage punk, Psychobilly with a organ fuzz madness, i would say considering the state of music at this moment that they are absolutely refreshing, unique and to find anything remote as good can only be the Canadians "We Are Wolves" second album "Total Magique" .
Not only they are exceptional awesome musician but great entertainers and they love to have their audience really close, last weekend in the beeckestijn pop they played on the grass and left the stage for anyone who felt like some head banger.
On the big stage really close was hollywood star Juliette Lewis but no one moved one inch from what was happening on the smallest stage of the all the festival, like always you can see Joost Varkevisser flying around with his Acetone organ for the delight of the fans that can play some notes at the same time, Jeroen Kruijs on drums is like a very oiled machine and there are never dol moments, Jeroen Blijleve gives soul to their music with impressive bass work, They will be big for sure.
It took me some time to post about them cause there was not so much material available that could sustain how good they are, they are extremely good but its their live performances that makes them unique. I guess with this stuff you can flavor it a little bit

"I don’t intend to dwell on the meaning to be found in my photography. What is important for me is that I came from that town. It is about all that we have in common there: our accent, our spicy coriander, the nod we give each other, a friendly signal to say hello when we pass one another on the street, these streets that we have traveled alongside our ancestors, that have herded us along together… this series was created for all of that. It will be my personal memoir!"
