objects of sound is an interactive concept that deals with the creation of individualised loudspeakers with help of 3d printing techniques. to give shape to the speakers the userdata of online radio stations is taken to parametrically translate information into threedimensional objects that resemble a personal music taste in an abstract way. tags and a 10second frequency spectrum of the 33 favorite songs are translated into shapegiving adjectives and form the body of the speaker. a regular loudspeaker can be screwed into this object and so makes the objects of sound to be an innovative and highly individualised product with affordable technique and a forward looking concept. to demonstrate the concept we show 3 different possible expamples for metal, pop and ambient orientated music.

Broadcast style is a mixture of electronic sounds and Keenan's 1960s-influenced vocals. It is heavily influenced by the 1960s American psychedelic group The United States of America, using many of the same electronic effects. It is also reminiscent of Stereolab. However, despite the similar musical pedigree, Broadcast's music often has a darker, edgier sound - with amorphous samples and analogue dissonance giving it a retro-futuristic sci-fi edge.

RedesignMe is a great Dutch company focusing on open innovation and user co-design, It was founded by designer Maxim Schram who was frustrated that he had some great ideas how to improve existing products, but had not opportunity to get companies listen to his ideas.

So he started his own web site posting his ideas for improvements – and inviting others to do the same.

His company, RedesignMe, aims to improve the products and services around us by collectively rethinking bad products into better products and good ideas into great ideas. The offering is called Design Critique. Maxim even came up with a simple toolkit so that users are able to quickly capture ideas. Actually it is not more than a simple, easy to use drawing tool that allows you to draw on a photo of a product. But is a great help to really express what you are going to say. The 1000 Journals Project is an ongoing collaborative experiment attempting to follow 1000 journals throughout their travels. The goal is to provide a method for interaction and shared creativity among friends and strangers.

How it Works:
Those who find the journals add something to them. A story, drawing, photograph, anything really. Then they pass the journal along, to a friend or stranger, and the adventure continues.

Contemporary art in the XXth Century,The Hague,Claude Monet,Tobias Rehberger, Mondriaan, Kandinsky, Constant, Anselm Kiefer,Robert Zandvliet,Ossip

This afternoon i was in The Hague , Gemente Museum has still in exhibition a impressive collection of contemporary art in the XXth Century.

3 Staggering floors of art from artist like Mesdag, Toorop, Van Doesburg, Picasso, Constant, Mondriaan, Lewitt, Merz, Lüpertz, Baselitz.

On the musem was also a a replica of Dutch Artits Ossip own studio .

Ossip uses old photographs taken from medical books or faded newspapers and magazines, often dating back to the early twentieth century. He is interested in the images themselves, not their context. The pictures are astonishing, partly because they often show people with physical abnormalities and partly (as when they show classic beauties of the past) because they are removed from their original historical context. Ossip enlarges these isolated images and manipulates them to place them in today’s world. The original image is still there but its meaning is changed. He restores three-dimensionality by stretching strings or wire around it or adding animal bones or fragments of cloth. In this way, emphases are imposed and powerful images are created. Ossip’s procedure conjures up a completely different world, in which viewers are free to endow the new images with whatever significance they choose. Ossip works by association; the texts he places on the works may bear some relationship to them, but then again they may not. His unorthodox working methods are not based on any ideology or art historical style. He aims to avoid any kind of accompanying rhetoric, believing that art should be left to speak for itself. The resulting work is intriguing, often oppressive, challenging and thoroughly thought-provoking.

My new job @ Kenz Figee

Tomorrow starts my new job , if working with the Japanese excavators was a incredible experience , @ Kenz Figee will be probably my biggest live challenge .
Kenz Figee builds harbor and offshore cranes and ill be working directly with the Hydraulic components that make the cranes operate.

Definitely better carrier prospects and the possibility to travel a lot are some of bonus of my new job.

R.I.P. HITACHI

Yesterday was my last day of work @ Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe ( Amsterdam ) , 5 years of hydraulic mechanics , one of my best live experiences , now starts a new chapter and a new adventure certainly.

Funny thing about my locker , those yellow bands , i used to use them to stick the cable from my mp3 to my t-shirt , otherwise the cable would fall and take the earplugs out of my ears , and that would really annoy me , just imagine me driving a 350 tons machine listening to Black Strobe really freaking loud , surreal .
Inside the locker among other strange things were 67 pens !!!!!

Performance for a matrix of 64 gas balloons, lights, and sound .

A room is filled with deep, evolving noises from a four-channel sound system. An eight-by-eight array of white, self-illuminated spheres floats in space like the atoms of a complex molecule.

Through variable positioning and illumination of each atom, a dynamic display sculpture comes into being, composed of physical objects, patterns of light, and synchronous rhythmic and textural sonic events. Change, sound, and movement converge into a larger form. robert henke

ARCHITECTURE OF SOUND
A space for sound. A geometrical landscape. It holds certain similarities with the LIQUID SKY Project. It’s a ramp with two inclined and accessible pyramidal elements that act as speakers. The music specially created for this project is generated inside the pyramids. There are two independent sound strings, each one is reproduced in its pyramid and they both finally melt into each other. There’s a line of broken light embedded in the ramp showing a trajectory and illuminating the installation at the same time. It is a full transitable installation. The new sloped floor is an ascendant “tongue” of light and sound.
